WRIGHT & MCGILL RODS

Wright & McGill purchased the Goodwin Granger Company in 1946 and by the middle of 1947, they began to offer Granger Rods for sale once again. These varnished bamboo rods gained an impressive reputation for quality and performance through the early 1950’s. Go >

Bill Phillipson began his rodmaking career working for Goodwin Granger and became the manufacturing supervisor upon Goodwin’s death. He was the brainchild behind the Granger Registered grade rod. After a failed attempt to purchase Goodwin Granger & Co, he started Phillipson Rod & Tackle Company which he successfully ran into the early 1970’s. Go >
