The Goodwin Granger Premier was re-introduced in the 1931 Granger Catalog as the highest grade available.
The Premier was available in 7 1/2′ to 10′ lengths (3 oz. to 6.5oz.) and priced at $50. Tournament models were also available in 9′ and 9.5′ lengths (5.5oz. to 5.75 oz.)
Production of the Goodwin Granger Premier grade lasted until the company closed it’s doors during WWII in 1941.
“The Granger Premier is the finest rod we build” and is constructed with A-Grade cane split from the same culm.
The Premier’s windings are simple and utilitarian—single wraps of gold silk.
All line guides, butt guides and tip tops are chromium plated.
